Questions? You have questions? Don’t worry, I welcome them :)

Here are some common questions that are hopefully clearly answered! If you have a query that isn’t answered here, please email me (Arienne – that’s me in the pic below, trying to be very nonchalant) on hello at lifeiscrafted dot com.

What are printables?
The products are digital PDF files that you receive and print yourself. This means they are flexible and you receive them straight away!

Please note that you  have a limited number of download attempts. Please save the files to your computer asap.

Do you have any pre-printed?
Yes! There are lots of professionally printed options in the range now :)

Can the printed ones come un-holepunched so I can punch them myself to suit my non-Filofax binder?
I normally have a few sets left unholepunched. Shoot me an email to see if I have any in stock before ordering.

What are the sizes of your inserts?
The range comes in four page sizes:

In Printed and PDF versions:
A5 Size – 148mm wide x 210mm high - 5.83 × 8.27 inches
Personal Size – 95mm wide x 171mm high – 3.75 x 6.75 inches

In PDF versions only:
A4 Size – 210mm wide x 297mm high - 8.27 × 11.7 inches
Letter Size - 215.9mm wide × 279.4mm high - 8.5 × 11 ichnes

What planners do the Life is Crafted Range fit?
The page size and hole spacing are designed to fit the equivalent size in the Filofax and Kikki K Ranges. They do fit other binder systems as well – check the size of the inserts the binder system takes and compare to the sizes above. I do sell some sets left without holepunches.

The Kikki K Large Time Planners suit the Life is Crafted A5 sizes
The Kikki K Medium Time Planners suit the Life is Crafted Personal Sizes

Can the whole Starter Pack fit into my planner at once?

In regards to the thickness of the Life is Crafted pages, they are thicker and better quality than normal Filofax or Kikki paper – this is to minimise pen bleed through and have an overall quality finish.

There is a balance between paper quality and thickness and from feedback and requests from customers I’ve chosen to go with quality paper rather than thinner pages.

Because of this, I recommend not carrying the full set of inserts around – only what you need currently. I normally have 2 full months of the day per page in there and then have the month on 2 pages for the past and upcoming months to put upcoming dates into (plus the relevant list and planning pages).

Is ‘Dotty’ the only design you have?
No, the Flourish range is now live as  is the more gender neutral Russell Range

Do your inserts include holidays on them?
As the inserts go worldwide – all over the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, I made a decision to not include holidays on them as they would take up a lot of space and I didn’t want to leave anyone out.

Can I request custom additions to the inserts?

At this stage, as the products are printed in volume at professional printers I am unable to customise pages.

What quality is the paper?
The inserts are professionally printed on professional quality 80gsm paper. These are better quality than the standard Filofax or Kikki K inserts. The tabs are printed on 310gsm thick card stock and are mylar (plastic) coated on the tab bits.

How are the inserts with Fountain Pens?
I’ve been told that as long as your ink isn’t ‘too wet’ they work quite well with the pages.

How do I print the printables?
Every printer is slightly different, but I’ve put together some general instructions on the Printing FAQ page. If you have any questions please let me know and I will endeavour to help as much as I can!

Is there a warranty of the planner folders?
I asked the same question to the suppliers. They said no but they would work with us if any problems arose! Please note any additional shipping/returns will be at the buyer’s cost.

What currency are the products in on the site?
Currently the pricing is in USD (even though I am an Aussie!). This is because the majority of the Life is Crafted inserts seem to be flying overseas. If you would  like to purchase in AUD please send me an email

How long does postage take?
From Australia postage should take between 3-10 business days to most countries. I’m using Australia Post and all postage is at cost plus the cost price of packaging (ie I don’t inflate the postage and pass on the discount I receive from Australia Post). I RECOMMEND AT LEAST GETTING TRACKING as I cannot be held responsible if the package doesn’t arrive.

Airmail is standard postage without tracking or insurance and takes 3-10 business days.

Airmail Tracking means a there is a tracking number available and takes 3-10 business days. This is available to certain countries only: Belgium, Canada, China, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Korea, Republic of (South Korea), Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, UK, USA

Courier Express takes 2-4 business days
Door-to-door delivery of documents and goods
Send to more than 190 destinations within 2 to 4 business days between major metropolitan areas^
Delivery to post office boxes, metro, rural and remote areas*
Tracking and signed delivery for most destinations*

Please note some countries charge local customs fees or VAT to orders arriving from overseas. These fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Courier Express International: While it is described as taking between 2-4 business days, if and when a parcel goes to Customs, the clock on that stops. Unfortunately when customs or a government gets involved there is nothing anyone can do about it – the timing is outside the control of us and the postal services and courier. They may hold it for an hour or a day or longer or whatever! Generally they don’t hold it for too long.

Within Australia I use either Express Post or normal mail :)

**While 99.9% of airmail arrives safely, please note that if you choose the airmail option and the package goes missing I cannot replace it :( If you are concerned, please use the Tracking post option.

SALES POLICIES
All sales are final. I cannot refund for a digital file though I will work to ensure you are happy with it!

      HI Michele,
Fabulous that you are loving them! I don’t carry around the full year otherwise it would break my back! I tend to keep about 3 full months in and then have the monthly overviews only behind the rest of the tabs in case a date comes up for them. I find this works really well and just have the other pages in storage.
ANy other Qs let me know!

    Hi Arienne,
    1) Have you any plans for doing the Personal size tabs for Jan-Dec in half size – meaning that one would be able to see all 12 tabs at one glance beside each other instead of 6 months in one row and the next 6 months in the next row?
    2) When do you plan to sell the printed 2014 Personal size whole year inserts?

I am eagerly awaiting to buy and start using your calendar and thought provoking inserts.
    Kind regards,
    Julie

      Hi Julie!
      Thank you for your comment!
      1) At this stage, I don’t have immediate plans for that, the manufacturer recommends the larger tabs for durability, but it will be something I look in to as I grow (I’m introducing quite a few new products this year!!).

      2) The printed 2014 range should be available early November. If you haven’t already, make sure you’re signed up to the community newsletter on the site, to be amongst the first to know when they are released.

I’m so glad you see the intention of though provocation behind them!

Any other questions in the meantime please let me know.

      Kind Regards,
      Arienne
